About Theodore (and Alvin)

Adopted by Bruno and Christian

Theodore & Alvin and MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Alvin here.

Perhaps you remember Grumpy Cat? When we got these three kittens ( see bottom photo below) we laughed and called them The Grumpy Kittens. They were scared and cranky. And it really showed. The fact that they then had to be lime dipped for ringworm did not help their disposition. Time passed and things changed and suddenly all three became more friendly and approachable and all three were suddenly, as they matured, absolutely beautiful. Wow!

A friend named them for The Chipmunks: Alvin. Simon and Theodore. Simon and Theodore are almost identical Seal Point Ragdolls. Alvin is a silky grey and white Maine Coon mix.Theodore also has a white spike going up on his nose so he is a Seal Bicolor. Seal indicates a dark brown black color. He has white feet front and back hence the description “white mitted”.

Theodore is a classic example of Ragdoll beauty. He has the blue, blue eyes which show the Siamese part of a Ragdoll’s genetic history. His beautiful deep blue eyes are surrounded by his face “mask” of rich dark brown. His nose fur and bib are a snowy white. You can see the inverted “V’ there. His pink nose has one brown beauty mark in the center. He is a gorgeous cat.

I have been a Ragdoll foster for many years now and I can tell you that compared to other breeds Ragdolls really don’t take change well. They mope. They get depressed. They take longer to get over life changes, like the loss of their human, but of course they do adapt. These are gentle, mellow, loving cats who need a peaceful home. Discord upsets them.

A perfect home for Alvin and Theodore would be a stable, happy, quiet home . I would not suggest a home with young children since the unexpected noises and movements of children can be startling to kitties who are not used to it. I do not know how Theodore and Alvin would do with dogs. Probably with a slow introduction they would be fine. They would likely do better with a big, lazy older dog than with one or more excitable, noisy dogs. This pair of kitties are perfect for someone or for a couple who want two new companions to warm the center of their home and fill their hearts. What could be better?

Some family will be so lucky to have the companionship of these brothers.

Alvin and Theodore eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Theodore is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Theodore please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
