About Alvin (and Theodore)

Adopted by Bruno and Christian

Alvin and Theodore MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Theodore here.

Perhaps you remember Grumpy Cat? When we got these three kittens ( see bottom photo below) we laughed and called them Grumpy Kittens. They were scared and cranky. And it really showed. The fact that they then had to be lime dipped for ringworm did not help their disposition. Time passed and things changed and suddenly all three became more friendly and approachable and they all were suddenly, as they matured, absolutely beautiful.

A friend named them for The Chipmunks: Alvin. Simon and Theodore. Simon and Theodore are almost identical Seal Point Ragdolls. Alvin is a silky grey and white Maine Coon mix. He was the friendliest of the three from day one. He is still the mosts tender of the three. ( His personality is partly “baby kitty” if you know what I mean.) We want him to be able to live with one of his brothers so I am presenting him here with Theodore. A wonderful option would be for all three boys to go home together. The adoption of three siblings has happened twice in my foster history. Such fun.

Alvin is a big kitty and is growing bigger by the day. Look at the size of his paws. He is a grey bicolor which describes a cat who has an inverted white “V” on his nose and a white tummy, bib and legs. You can see that his Maine Coon white ruff is growing in. I love a pink nose in a white face. Maine Coons keep growing in size for the first three to four years of their life. So, large as he is, he likely has quite a way to go to get to his final size. His tail is already a huge plume.

Alvin is still a bit shy but his sweetness always shows through. He is a gentle, loving, solid big boy and loves to sleep and cuddle with his brothers. He is a curious kitty and loves to play and explore with his friends. He gets very absorbed in watching the birds outside his window. He is loyal and constant and I think would be that way with his new human also.

A perfect home for Alvin and Theodore would be a stable, happy quiet home . I would not suggest a home with young children since the unexpected noises and movements of children can be startling to kitties who are not used to it. This pair of kitties are perfect for someone or for a couple who want two new companions to warm the center of their home and fill their hearts. What could be better?

Some family will be so lucky to have the companionship of these brothers.

Alvin and Theodore eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.

Alvin is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Alvin (and Theodore) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
