About Walter

Born ~5/30/2020, M, Classic Gray Tabby Maine Coon Mix

Looking for some comic relief after a more than trying year? What about a fluffy supervisor who tells you what’s what? Or how about a cat who thinks he’s a dog?

This boy is all of that and more!! Walter is a sweet little (ok not so little, hims a BIG boy) charmer who, while a tad shy on his initial meetings, warms up very quickly with the simple flick of a shoelace or feather toy. Walter loves to play but is still learning some manners so a cat savvy home would be best for him. He’s a VERY social boy and would do best in a home with another kitty or two and friendly dogs. Walter also loves to watch “kitty tv” on his sunny perch and enjoys chattering about what’s outside. Walter isn’t yet a lap cat but he loves to be near you, be held for short periods of time and especially loves to give you quick hugs when you come into a room along with the obligatory (in his mind) Eskimo kiss. Walter isn’t a huge talker, but he does love to chirp when he trots up to you or when you are the bringer of food!

Walter is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered, FeLV tested negative, dewormed, microchipped and uses his litter box perfectly. He has a simple diet of both canned and dry food and loves the occasional treat too.

Walter currently lives with his foster family in Sacramento. If you are looking for a best friend, a supervisor, a perfect companion who always has you in mind and willing to give him as much love as he will provide, he would love to have you as his forever family! For more information, email Dayna at and fill out an adoption application at the Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue and mention Walter.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
