About Simon

Adopted by Arif and Graham

Perhaps you remember Grumpy Cat? When we got these three kittens ( see bottom photo below) we laughed and called them The Grumpy Kittens. They were scared and so cranky. And it really showed. The fact that they then had to be lime dipped for ringworm did not help their disposition. Time passed and things changed and suddenly all three became friendly and interested in humans and all three were suddenly, as they matured, absolutely beautiful.

Simon and Theodore are almost identical Seal Bicolor Ragdolls. Alvin is a silky grey and white Maine Coon mix. He is still the mosts tender of the three. We want him to be able to live with one of his brothers so I we are sending him home with Theodore. So that means Simon is the odd kitty out. We are going to make sure he goes to a home with one or more good kitty friend. First choice of course would be for all three boys to go home together. The adoption of three siblings has happened three times in my foster history. So wonderful.

Simon is a classic example of a beautiful Ragdoll kitty. He is a little darker than Theodore and has brown front legs with little tips of white toes in the front. He has blue, blue eyes which show the Siamese part of a Ragdoll’s genetic history. His beautiful deep blue eyes are surrounded by his face “mask” of rich dark brown. His nose fur and bib are a snowy white. You can see the inverted “V’ there. His pink nose has one brown beauty mark in the center. He is a gorgeous cat.

I have been a Ragdoll foster for many years now and I can tell you that compared to other breeds Ragdolls really don’t take change well. They mope. They get depressed. They take longer to get over life changes, like the terrible loss of their human, but of course like other kitties they do adapt. Ragdolls are gentle, mellow, loving cats who need a peaceful home. Discord upsets them.

A perfect home for Simon would be a stable, happy quiet home. As I said we really want him to have a young kitty friend or two since he is a cat friendly boy and is used to that companionship. I would not suggest a home with young children since the unexpected noises and movements of children can be startling to kitties. I don’t know how he is with dogs. He is a perfect addition to a family who already has a kitty or kitties and want a new companion to warm the center of their home and fill their hearts. What could be better?

Some family will be so lucky to have his warm loving companionship.

Simon is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Simon please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
