About Remi

Adopted by Dannielle & Anthony

This beautiful boy, Remi, is sort of a “man about town” kind of kitty. He is big and suave and confident. He loves humans and is charmingly seductive giving you head butts and rubs but he can also go his own way, independently, to take care of his Siamese duties and obligations. He is not overly clingy. The San Francisco shelter paperwork listed him as ten. Remi is such a strong, healthy boy, with no heart murmur or medical issues it would be easy to think of him as younger than that.

Remi is a big cat. His photos don’t seem to show his size. He has a long, solid body and is quite an armful. He surprised us. We thought we were getting a medium-small little Siamese. That is not Remi. You can pick him up and carry him around and he is politely obliging but he doesn’t really like it and will eventually wiggle and ask to be put down. You can see his funny expression in the photo below where he is being held in the crook of someone’s arm – patient, tolerant, hopeless, not pleased. We messed with him a lot while taking his photos. He was very nice and good-natured about it. I like that about a cat. But on his four dark brown feet, he is very affectionate and loves to be petted pretty much all over.

Remi is a classic Seal Point Siamese. A cat’s “points” are his face, mask, ears, legs, and tail. In a seal point cat those “points” are dark brown. Remi’s dark points are very striking in contrast to his eyes and other colors. His plush tummy fur is rich cream and his back fur darkens as he ages. Of course, he has the wonderful blue eyes of a Siamese. He is a really excellent example of a seal pointed cat.

Siamese cats want to form a deep bond with their humans. This is partly why they are so sought after. (Another reason is their beautiful blue eyes!) Remi will be a devoted and affectionate companion to his new owner. I don’t know how he is with dogs but his size and high confidence level makes me guess he would be fine after an appropriate introduction. I think he would be probably fine also with another kitty, happy to live companionably but separately. I doubt he will want to groom another cat or sleep in the same bed but I really don’t know. He is good-natured and not a problem child.

He is a treasure. Some family will be so lucky to have his companionship.

Remi eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

He is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Remi please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
