Majestic Odin is a very sweet, affectionate, healthy cat that loves attention. He was adopted from a shelter 3.5 years ago. He had been 4 paw declawed and had a previous enucleation, which means one of his eyes has been removed.
This what his owner says about Odin:
“Odin and our dog are no longer getting along. Odin swats at the dog, and the dog use to tolerate it, but no longer, and I am afraid it will escalate to the point where Odin is hurt. It hurts my heart to do this, but I know his best home is no longer with me….
Odin is easy to handle and has been wonderful with children ages 9 to 14. He is extremely friendly and affectionate to them, as he is with adults and adult visitors. Odin has also spent lengthy amounts of time with a younger child since the child was 2 (now 5). When the young child is having a sleepover he is affectionate and will sleep on the couch or cot with him. He loves to be held and is definitely a lap cat.
Odin is groomed frequently. Every groomer who has worked with him has commented on his relaxed behavior while being groomed.
Odin responds to his name and comes when he is called. He is an extremely affectionate and snuggly cat. He loves to be brushed, will purr the entire time. When he is on your lap or sitting next to you he always purrs loudly with enjoyment and sometimes makes ‘air biscuits’. He really is so sweet and a total love bug.
Odin likes relaxing on the back porch and in the garden with supervision. He cannot safely be outside alone because he is declawed. He absolutely loves to lounge outside on the deck in our fully enclosed yard. In his perfect world he would have access to an outdoor area like a catio where he could go safely outside as he pleases.”
Odin is a healthy cat. He can be a picky eater and prefers Purevita holistic pet food’s chicken entree. His litter box habits are typical of a declawed cat. Odin uses a litter box for defecating and urinates on pee pads. He is always uses the box/pee pad combo.
Odin’s ideal home would be as an only pet with mature human companions, where he will safely and happily be the center of attention and have the great life he so richly deserves. Outdoor 100% supervision in a cat safe environment would keep him very happy. Calm respectful youth and child visitors would be a plus for him. He gladly accepts pets and cuddles from anyone who will give them.
Odin is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his owner in Sacramento.
