About Not Eleanor
Born ~9/15/2020, F, Lynx Point mix
This kitten’s name is Not Eleanor. She is a soft kitten with soft colors and soft blue eyes so I gave her a soft girl’s name, Eleanor.Right away this active little troublemaker let us know her name was not supposed to be Eleanor. We tried Sparky, Rocket Girl, Annie Oakley, Danica Patrick. None stuck. Her new family will have to figure out her real name.
She who is Not Eleanor is a confident, little play monster. She is in love with movement. Look at her face and you can see her determined desire to explore everything. She wants it all. When she is done running about, chasing feathers exploring every nook and cranny she then wants to curl up in your lap or on your shoulder and take a nap. She loves humans and when especially she first arrived she would call to us asking for attention.
Not Eleanor needs a family who will be around her the majority of the time even when COVID recedes. She likes company. She wants to follow you about as you do your chores. She is smart and interactive with her humans . Want a tired kitten on your shoulder as you watch late night movies? She would love that.
At first we thought she didn’t like other kitties but in the short time we have had her she has been changing.I wouldn’t at this point put her with little kittens though a mild but still playful adult kitty would probably be fine,I have never seen her around dogs. I would not put her with kids under 12 for fear she would get outside. She is quick and quite fearless.(young) Like a toddler she needs to be protected.
This little girl with the big personality will be a great companion for some lucky adopter- smart, entertaining and so loving.
She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Not Eleanor is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
