About Lionel
Adopted by Lan and Victor
This little boy is just raring to go. He is younger than I usually adopt out but he is ready for his new world Now. Lionel has a great deal of confidence and is friendly to strangers, eager for new things. He has no fear of being held and carried around though he may get bored. Very active and curious the whole world is his toy.
Lionel is fascinated with other kittens and immediately wants to play with them. He does, however, play a bit too rough and tumble for the young ones right now. He needs to go to a home with a kitty or perhaps dog who are older than him, bigger and indestructible and good natured. A cat who is at least a big teenager or a young adult will put a paw on the top of his head and say “Tone it down shrimp”. He is not mean or aggressive, he is active and full of fun and he just doesn’t quite understand the rules of play. He will. Of course older sleepy kitties would find him annoying as they generally find many energetic youngsters. ( I am sleeping!!!!)
You can see how long his hair is. The photos taken in the sun show long hair springing out from everywhere especially his ears. I expect he will grow into a magnificent red and white Maine Coon boy. Maine Coons are good family cats. They can handle home life chaos, noise and commotion. Being cautious I would not put this kitten with children under 6. Despite his big action hero heart he is still very small kitten ( two and a half pounds ) and he is vulnerable to being stepped on etc. He needs a family that will protect him and keep him safe just as you do with a toddler. Also I would not send him to a home where he would be the only pet, he needs a play buddy. And you need your sleep.
Lionel is very entertaining to be around and very cuddly to hold. He is enormous fun. How great to watch him grow into his full size. Maine Coon kitties keeping growing in size until they are about three and a half years old.
Some family will be so lucky.
Lionel eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Lionel is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Lionel please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
