About Jasmin

Born ~9/2016, F, Bluepoint Himalayan

Jasmin is a demure little lady who enjoys the peaceful life of lounging around and being admired for her beauty. She is occasionally a lap cat but also likes to explore any new box or chair placed in her vicinity. She particularly enjoys assisting during quilting projects. Although a fairly quiet cat, Jasmin would like an opportunity to expand her playtime– she really loves her feather toys!

This kitty has a beautiful, long coat that is a nice balance between silky and cottony. It keeps her from matting up unless her grooming is neglected for a long period of time. With minimal grooming, she doesn’t need a lion cut and can stay gorgeous year-round. Jasmin’s eyes are blue but look almost green in a certain light. She has a lovely doll face rather than the more severe nose so she doesn’t have to struggle for breath like some of the more extreme faces Persians do.

Jasmin was purchased as a kitten for the purposes of breeding but was surrendered to Purebreds Plus as a young cat due to allergies in the home. She was adopted and has since been living with an elderly woman with multiple cats who is no longer able to care for them properly. In Jasmin’s life, she has always had to share her people with many other pets. We think Jasmin would prefer a home with few animals where she can be completely doted on for the rest of her life. She might also enjoy being an only cat if she has her people around her for a large part of her day.

Although not shy, Jasmin does take a bit to get comfortable in a new home and she does not like going places in the car. A nice sedate lifestyle where she doesn’t have to be moved around a lot will suit her well. She deserves lots of lap time and playtime.

Jasmin has been generally healthy but if she’s not properly groomed she will get a urinary tract infection. She has never needed a special diet; she gets wet food daily, and good quality kibble. She needs regularly petting with “scritchy” fingers to keep her from getting mats and a good combing once or twice a week. She also needs her toenails trimmed and her ears and eyes cleaned. Really, it’s just the standard stuff that a good Persian/Himalayan cat owner knows to do to keep their high-maintenance darling looking beautiful.

Jasmin is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in Vacaville.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Jasmin please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Ellen at thefawls@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Ellen please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
