About Cleo (and Xander)

If 2020 has taught us anything its perseverance! Cleo is the perfect example of this! This sweet, loving girl had a really tough start to life. She came into the shelter with a broken back and her outcome was guarded at best. Cleo was one determined little girl who knew there were good people out there willing to give her the best possible care. When we got the call about this girl all we could do was cross our fingers and know that we would do what we could. After many consultations it was determined she was too young for surgery and her best option would be time and love. We were more than happy to give her both and within two weeks she regained most of her functionality. A few more weeks and she was getting around pretty good and a few weeks after that she had us all in amazement. We placed her with foster kitten Xander and he kept her happy and progressing forward.
Today Cleo is one happy, healthy, loving girl, who along with Xander enjoy running, jumping and being just like any other kitty. Cleo and Xander would love to find a home where they can share their love with their family and keep you smiling from ear to ear. While Cleo is almost as normal as any other cat, a calmer home might be best for them. Cleo and Xander both love to give and get kisses, sit on or near you and Cleo being the girly girl, likes to share “stories” with you. Xander prefers to be a good listener though he will occasionally offer a short conversation.
Cleo and Xander are up to date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, FeLV tested negative, dewormed, microchipped and uses their litter box perfectly. They have a simple diet of both canned and dry food and love the occasional treat too.
Cleo is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She currently lives with her foster family in Sacramento.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
