About Cinnamon (and Donut)
Adopted by Larry and Patricia
A red and white kitten named Cinnamon urgently needed rescue. A few days earlier, we had taken in another cute little red and white kitten who we had called Donut because of the unusual pattern on her back. It seemed like fate. We called this new boy Cinnamon Roll and were happy to put these two single, lonely kittens together. They have been a devoted pair ever since, so we are sending them home together.
Cinnamon will happily greet a stranger at the door. He is more the man about town kind of cat, confident and charming. He loves attention also, though he politely defers to his “sister” if need be. You can see in the photos how good-natured he is, very relaxed with humans. He used to be Donut’s size ( See their baby photos), but he has been going thru a big growth spurt recently, and he is showing he will be a big Maine Coony boy. Look at the size of his big feet; he is still growing. Maine Coons, known for their large size, keep growing until their third year. His photos show him over the last few months, and the difference in his size is clear.
Donut is super sweet and cuddly though she likes a little time to get to know you first. Once over her shyness, she wants lots of attention and cuddles. She will talk to you with her little chirpy voice. She loves to make eye contact and chirp to suggest you give her food, a treat, a pet. Interacting with her humans is her favorite thing, and that includes climbing on your lap, your shoulder, anywhere. She is very affectionate and super entertaining. Donut adores her big protector, Cinnamon, but is not super attracted to other cats or kittens. It would be easy for this pair to be the only pets in the home though maybe another cat or cat friendly dog would be fine.
These two are good family cats. They are classic kittens full of play and curiosity. They enjoy exploring, watching birds out the window, and the world, including you, is their toy. They get especially excited chasing feather wands. These two would likely be fine with children after Donut gets comfortable with them. They have never been around dogs. This pair of red and white kitties can comfort and delight humans of all ages.
Cinnamon Roll loves wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Cinnamon is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Cinnamon (and Donut), please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Harriet, please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
