About Blue
Adopted by Pam
This young kitty has such a charming, loving personality that everyone who has met him recently has worked to help him. A good samaritan found him limping on the side of a road ( hit by a car ?) She took him home and then to a shelter the next day. This shelter did lots of work on him taking x rays and assessing his injured, much shorter, left hind leg. They reached out Purebreds asking could we give him the cage rest and a place and time to heal. When we said Yes we would be glad to they arranged with the UC Davis Vet Center to do the surgery to remove his irreparable leg. Then wonderful transporters stepped forward to bring Blue down to us in Santa Cruz. He has had lots of help. We of course fell madly in love with him. Immediately.
It has been easy as can be to take care of him. He healed quickly, needed no meds, did everything right and now runs about at an impressive speed. You would think he doesn’t remember he once had more than three legs .His new body doesn’t seem to slow him down or bother him at all. He would be a great ambassador a children’s rehab center. He is full of joy and at all times is a happy and good natured boy. He likes everyone. And, he seems to like all kitties. A cranky old Persian kitty hissed at him and he seem absolutely surprised that she would feel that way. It was almost comical.
I don’t know how this boy is with dogs but if they were nice to him I have no doubt he would welcome them. He will fit into all sorts of homes, even ones with fairly young ( but respectful ) children. Siamese kitties like to form a strong bond with their humans. If his new family were around him a lot of the time that would be great. He would not like being an only pet to a single person who was gone all day. He would be a great family cat. His exuberance and athleticism will inspire his new family every day.
Blue eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Blue is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Blue please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
