About Benjie
Born ~9/1/2020, M, Orange Tabby Maine Coon Mix
We’re sure you’ll think Benji is a stunner at first glance. His green eyes perfectly complement his ginger coat and he’s got a little mane and a floofy, floofy tail. And with Benjie, beauty isn’t just fur deep. He’s a tender sweet soul who will make a purr-fect companion for some lucky person. Benjie had a bit of a rough start in life and is still somewhat cautious with new situations but quickly warms up once he knows you will treat him with love and kindness (though meat tubes will definitely speed the love up!). Once he’s comfortable, he loves to rub up against your legs, play with strings, wand toys, and just enjoying pets and love. His ideal home is more on the mellow side, with gentle and kind people who will make him feel safe, give him affection, and chat with him! He loves hanging out with his friends so a home with a kitty friend or two we think would help him blossom even more.
Benjie loves to watch kitty “tv” and will chatter when it gets exciting and enjoys napping in the sun in addition to playing with the other foster kitties.
Benjie’s foster family has all sorts of other furry creatures he gets along with and has been around a dog. We think Benjie would love a somewhat mellow, cat-savvy home with a kitty friend. While he isn’t exactly an extrovert on the initial meeting, he is affectionate, loves to purr and once he gets his bearings and gets to know you, he will shine his little love light on you to no end!
Benjie is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his foster family in Sacramento.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
