About Beep

Born ~2018, M, Black and White Persian

We called him BP for” Black Persian” his first day with us and of course his name soon became Beep. What was this beautiful Persian doing in a shelter? More to the point what was he doing outside where someone picked him up and took him to a shelter? Or was that his owner.? He had burrs and bits of plant debris in his fur so we knew he had been out. The shelter shaved or cut with scissors the worst of his matts off and neutered him. We could not help but hurry to the shelter to get him. He showed us from the start that he is a true Persian, he wanted to cuddle right away.

Our vet aged him at three years and tested him for FIV and Feline Leukemia, diseases you can get mostly when you are outside. He was negative for both. He has no heart murmur which is great to hear about a Persian. He is a solid healthy boy with very nice proportions and good weight. His fur is currently about 5/8ths of an inch long and super, super soft. He has four little white feet which are so cute as he trots about checking everything out. His chin and nose are white too and his whiskers. …. OMG his white whiskers are outrageous. Never have I seen whiskers so dramatic and ridiculous, they fly everywhere. You will notice also that just the tip of his nose is black too. In four months his lush coat will have grown back and he will look amazing. He will of course need combing on a regular basis to keep matts from forming. Persians need extra care.

Beep seems to be cat friendly. He wants to go touch noses with everyone. Just saying hello. We are so full of question about him. How long was he out?. Has he always gone out? Was he left out when someone moved away? Has he ever gotten enough attention. ? It is hard to figure out how this super special cat ended up in this situation. I expect he had a home and he was loved then something happened. I would guess he was outside two or three months, not more unless he simply went out every day. No question he was dirty – you can see his dirty feet in some photos , the water ran brown for a bit. He was by the way very good about his bath . He is good natured and quite confident in the very new situation of being with us. Just love me he says.

I don’t know how he is with dogs. He is clearly fine with friendly cats and would be fine with most children. Some family will be so luck to have his companionship.

Beep eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Beep is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Beep please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
