- BONDED PAIR
About Bean (& Bubbles)
Adopted by Diane and Randy
Bean and Bubbles MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Bubbles here.
Well, this is certainly a very special pair of lovely kittens. A pair of Scottish Fold parents must be one Scottish Fold kitty and one of another breed that is not a Fold. Two Folds bred together create a kitty that will develop dreadful arthritis in middle age. These kittens look like they have one parent who is a Siamese kitty hence their beautiful blue eyes. Like Siamese kitties they are “color pointed” which means their heads, feet and tail are colored and their body is mostly beige.
I have included some baby photos so you can see them in their beige baby stage. They darken as they age. The color coming in is grey which in cat speak is called “blue.” They are “blue pointed” kitties. At this point, Bean currently has a darker face mask and Bubbles currently is bigger. They were so similar you could hardly tell them apart. They are changing and growing rapidly.
A breeder gave them to a busy rescue who fostered them for a while and then gave them to us. Extra unusual or beautiful kittens can be a big nuisance for a foster mom. I apologize in advance for not returning emails from folks who inquire about them quickly enough.
These kittens were fostered with lots of human love. You can see the photo below of Bean sleeping on a teenager’s shoulder. They love attention from humans who they know and are shy with humans they don’t know. Bean and Bubbles are very gentle kittens. They have a quiet energy and though they love to play and explore it is not with the play monster energy of some little kitten ruffians. They do not race about like maniacs.
Bean and Bubbles need a quiet home for their quiet energy. I would not want them in a home with bouncy dogs or young children. Their family needs to offer them a stable and secure home and love them as they settle into it. Both are a bit cautious and need to grow a little in confidence. They have lived around other cats but I would not want them with a very dominant cat. They can be intimidated. Probably the best home for them would be one in which they could be the only pets. At least for now. They are treasures and need to be carefully protected and loved.
Bean and Bubbles eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.
Their foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Bean (& Bubbles) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at firstname.lastname@example.org If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at email@example.com.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
