About This Cat
Born ~8/18, 10 mo. old, F, Calico Maine Coon

She is just a little girl. Ten months means she is still a baby. Maine Coons keep growing until they are about three and a half years old. She is 11 pounds now and will possibly be near twice that when she is her mature size. She has one cream hind foot so she really is a calico kitty with red, cream, and brown.

Like a calico she knows she is queen of the universe. She is actually a good-natured loving girl, friendly to other cats but I would say she will be an alpha cat when she is fully grown. She is no shrinking violet.

She loves to chase feathers and climb cat trees, race around and eat everything in sight. Think of her as kitten, full of fun, learning about life. When she arrived from the shelter she was a little subdued but not for very long. We think she is from Russia since she has a Russian microchip. Be sure you admire her super long ear luxurious tufts. I didn’t get a good photo of her tail. It is extremely long and lush.

I think she would prefer that her new home have another cat for a companion, a cat happy to be a beta cat. I don’t know how she is with dogs but I expect she would be happy to  play with a dog who knew his place in the scheme of things. Maine Coons are intelligent family cats. They provide a great deal of companionship and need a great deal of companionship from their humans. They need a stimulating, entertaining household. Older children would be fine.

Kezia eats wet and dry food and is litter box perfect.
