About Veronica
Born ~2011, Female, Tortie Point Birman Mix
This beautiful lady is Veronica aka Ronnie. She is a Tortie Point Birman or Birman mix. Ronnie has rich chocolate and butterscotch markings all over her body; the markings on her face are almost “harlequin”; not quite, but they are still quite striking. Her front feet look as if they’ve just barely been dipped in milk and her back feet have full white sox. Her fur is soft like satin; it almost feels cool to the touch and in the right light has just the tiniest shimmer to it. Her eyes are lovely blue.
Veronica is very interactive with her humans. She has a number of voices . One is a chirp she uses when she is interested in talking with you. It is a little like the Roadrunner – remember the meep meep? Except hers is “mrat mrat.” She answers back. She also has the vibrant “tortietude” voice that she uses when she is bossing you around or wants to tell you that you’ve been gone from her side too long. She follows her humans everywhere. Seriously. Everywhere.
One day Veronica’s foster parents were having a very sad day and Veronica seemed to sense this. Although she’d not been in the foster home for long, she noticed that foster mom was just lying on the couch so Veronica climbed right up and snuggled in behind her foster mom’s legs. Later that evening, when foster dad was also feeling a bit down she climbed up in his lap and hung out for awhile. It was the first time she had ever reached out for companionship.
Since that time, Veronica has slept on the bed every night. Early on, she sits at the end of the bed at her foster dad’s feet. She watches out the back porch and seems to be on guard duty. Later in the night, she finds her way to her foster mom’s pillow and snuggles up right beside her chest.
Veronica does not like other cats. She won’t attack them but she certainly has a lot to say to them; none of it is complimentary. We don’t know how she would be with dogs.
Veronica has recently had dental care. She is fostered in Vacaville area.
