About Twig
Chosen one…
Look at me with my ONE stunning blue eye! Yes, I only have one. What happened to me? To be honest, I don’t remember and not sure I would want two anyway! I was pretty sick with a nasty URI and ruptured eye. My wonderful foster mom chose me, and took me out of the shelter where I was really struggling. She gave me the name Twig because I was as thin as a stick and frightfully underweight from lack of food.
My foster Mom gave me lots of love and plenty of wonderful food for a number of weeks! It took some time and patience and I am so glad she did not give up on me! I feel pretty amazing now. I also find I love to snuggle to show how much I appreciate everything my foster family does for me. They really care about me! I am forever grateful and show them in every way I can think of, especially with snuggles and head butts.
I do still have a big surgery ahead of me. I need to be big enough to have my injured eye removed and I am still too little. The procedure is called an Eucleation. The doctor said I need to be a little bigger to handle the surgery, so I figured I would ask all of you if you could help! I have my pain managed right now, but I just can’t wait to have the procedure done. I won’t be able to be in my forever home this holiday season, of course. I have my wonderful foster, but it’s not quite the same. Ya know?
I digress…I am going in on December 21st! The cost for this is ~$600 and then I will be as good as new! I can’t wait until it is done! Why? Well, because I can then find my forever home were someone will love and cherish me forever even with only one eye! If you can help, I would so appreciate you!
