About Tulip

Born ~4/2/2024, F, Calico Domestic Short Hair
Adoption Fee: $100

Bottle-raised kittens always benefit from being raised in a group, as opposed to alone. So, when a single orphan kitten arrived in rescue on Easter Sunday, the word went out that we were looking for companions to raise him with. Less than a week later we were notified of a pair of babies headed to the local shelter. When we called to arrange pick up the response was “Which 2?” Turns out there were 2 pairs of orphan babies in need so, of course, we took them all. And so our Easter basket is full!

Tulip and her sister, Iris, were only days old when they were taken to the shelter. Due to their age these sisters were immediately offered to our rescue to give them the best chance of survival. Needing round-the-clock care meant for many a sleepless night for their foster mom initially. But her hard work paid off because Tulip is a beauty with a sweet, snuggly personality. She’s the prettiest little calico you would ever want to meet. She may look delicate with her perfect black leg-warmers but Tulip likes to Get Physical! Tulip is a rough-and-tumble wrestler with her sister and the other foster kittens in the house but when it’s time for a nap this little girl wants her momma! Tulip would benefit from a kitty companion. She LOVES to wrestle and play chase with the other kittens. She is the smallest of her ‘sibling’ group but holds her own just fine, but with her people, she is a purry, snuggly little lovebug.

When her tummy rumbles she is laser-focused on convincing her people to do something about it. She will pester her foster parents and sit on their feet until dinner is served! It’s hard to say no to her sweet little face so she usually gets her way pretty quickly. She was the last one of her group to wean and she still lobbies for a bottle, but quickly settles for some kitten food instead.

Tulip is very socially adaptable, and does well with adult cats as well as the resident dog in her foster home. She has not been around Children. Tulip is very human-bonded and outgoing. She is really one special little girl!

Tulip is vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

She currently lives with her foster family in Woodland.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
