About Tiger

Born 10/4/2004, M, Brown Spotted Bengal

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program.  We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat.  It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Tiger is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in Sacramento. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Tiger’s owner sadly passed at the beginning of January 2022 and he is urgently in need of a home by January 22nd. A qualified Foster or Foster to Adopt would also be considered in this situation. His owner’s family is here from another state for just a short time to manage the family’s affairs. They reached out to us here at Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue to help place handsome Tiger and his companion Shakira a purebred Brown Marbled Bengal, in a home (s) that they will receive the loving attention and care they have known their whole lives.

Tiger is a purebred Brown Spotted Bengal. His purebred pedigree has not yet been located by his owner’s family. Tiger is incredibly sweet. His age and kidney disease doesn’t seem to keep him from being a high-functioning cat. He is mobile, active, runs around and instigates play with his Bengal companion Shakira. He enjoys his cat tree and is very affectionate and friendly. He loves to curl up on heating sources and snuggle.

As a senior kitty, he does have a medical history that includes previous chemotherapy for cancer. He currently needs to receive therapeutic SubQFluids for kidney disease on a bi-monthly basis and has a daily prescription for prednisone. He eats a KD Diet with added water, and eliminates well. He has no bowel or bladder issues and is litterbox perfect. He is on the thin side weighing in at about 9-10 lbs. His last vet visit was August 2021. He is in need of a loving adopter who will help care for him during the senior years of his life. He still has a lot of love, affection, and even some interactive playtime to enjoy.

Tiger is still living with Shakira, a purebred Brown Marbled 10-year-old Bengal female that is also posted on our website. It would be great if they could be adopted together but it is not a requirement. A picture of Shakira is included here on Tiger’s profile. They are also accustomed to living with a cat-friendly Husky and are good with visiting children ages 1-1/2, 6, and 10 years old.

We think a Bengal experienced person that can provide a fun, loving, quiet caregiving home, where someone is present the majority of the time, would be just right for Tiger.

Bengals are wonderful companion cats, they often bond with their people and love them like no other. Tiger is ready and longing for that new person in his life to love.

Consideration for a reduced adoption fee is available if Tiger and Shakira are adopted together.

Tiger is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in Sacramento.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Tiger please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
