Hi There! My name is Tater Tot. I’m a handsome little guy, don’t you think? At first I was really scared but now I look forward to my foster Mom spending time with me and holding me too! My fur is just like my sister’s, lush, soft and thick. I’m a Mackerel tabby and variant of the Manx to be exact, which is a long-haired Manx but with a tail!
I like to play now. When I first got here, I didn’t know what playing was but I have caught on and boy do I love it! I’m still a little cautious with new people but overall I think you humans make great company! Now everything is a toy! A dust bunny! A piece of litter! A piece of food! My tail! And, well, there’s the toy too! I do enjoy tangling with my sister Sweet Pea. We chase each other around and do tumblesaults!
When I am tuckered out, I love curling up on the thick, plush, fleece blanket with my sister and the other two kitties. It’s so easy to fall asleep now. Of course if you are in the room with me, I want to be on you or leaning against you ‘cause it makes me feel safe. I will tell you I feel safe with my gentle purr and snuggling. I promise to love you and keep you entertained. Could you be the home for me?
Tator Tot will come to you neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and vet checked! He would be okay as a single kitten as long as he is not alone all day. If he would be left alone for long periods then it would be best to adopt two kittens. Of course, if you have another easy going kitty that will want to play that will work as well.
Manx are fun loving creatures. They typically like to retrieve, play in water, and carry things around in their mouth. They will bring you a toy when you are in bed, reading, or doing something other then interact with them. These cats attach themselves to their human family with uncanny devotion, often claiming one individual over the others as their special friend. Generally not loud cats, quiet chirps, trills or purrs, and gentle head bumps, are the favored methods of communication for a Manx. It is a joy to be owned by a Manx, I was owned by one for 16 years. A well-loved, well-cared for Manx will become an important part of any family. Once they have entered your heart, you will find it hard to ever be without a Manx. These are truly cats for everyone.
Manx can be completely tailless or even have a full length tail. These siblings prove that –Tator Tot has a full tail and Sweet Pea has a stumpy tail. Read more about the Manx here.
Tator Tot is fostered in Reno, NV.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
