Born 5/13/2008, F, Platinum Mink Tonkinese
Tamago was rescued by her current owner from a shelter after someone in her previous family developed cat allergies. She is a lovely purebred Tonkinese and if it weren’t for the bullying resident female cat, who happens to be about 3x the size of Tamago, her current owner would love to keep this adorable, cute and petite little nugget.
Tamago’s current owner considers her the perfect cat – a social, affectionate purr machine who loves to lie in the sun or your lap for cuddles. She loves to explore and is very curious. She loves playing on her cat tree and especially with feather flyers. When chasing flyers she turns into a little acrobat.
Tamago doesn’t bite or scratch and has a mellow, affectionate temperament. She will give you head butts to show her affection. She tolerates handling and getting picked up very well and she also loves getting attention.
Whoever gets to adopt this cutie patootie needs to know that she has a history of occasional vomiting (since young) but that this condition has improved after she was switched to a Royal Canin’s hydrolyzed protein diet. In order to keep her healthy, she will need to stay on this specialty diet.
We are looking for a dedicated cat lover who will give her attention and will love her as much (or more!) as her current owner does. She deserves a home where she isn’t getting bullied by other alpha cats. She may do well with a gentle dog who loves a feline companion and she would probably do well with cat savvy older children.
