About Sweet Pea
Adopted by Olena & Matt
Born ~September 2016, Female, Mackerel Tabby Manx
Available Late November
Oh Hello. My name is Sweet Pea. Yes, I am a sweet little Mackerel tabby Manx with a lush, soft, thick coat. My tail is a stumpy, about 1 inch long, if that. I love sprawling on my foster Mom’s lap and legs and having her gently rub my little ears and pet me and I will show my appreciation with a motor boat purr. I enjoy romping over her when she sits on the floor to play with us—back and forth, back and forth! I have the cute little bunny hop run when I play too. I can easily make my foster Mom say “awwww”, so I must be pretty adorable.
I like to wrestle with my brother Tater Tot. I will pounce on him when he is not looking and then run away. I love dangly toys and picking up toys and running around the room with them. I have tried a couple times to escape to follow my foster Mom but she always seems to know and catches me. That is okay cause when she catches me she holds me and loves me! That’s all I really wanted anyway! Are you looking for someone like me, you know, to love?
Sweet Pea will come to you spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and vet checked! She would be okay as a single kitten as long as she is not alone all day. If she would be left alone for long periods then it would be best to adopt two kittens. Of course, if you have another easy going kitty that will want to play that will work as well.
Manx are fun loving creatures. They typically like to retrieve, play in water, and carry things around in their mouth. They will bring you a toy when you are in bed, reading, or doing something other then interact with them. These cats attach themselves to their human family with uncanny devotion, often claiming one individual over the others as their special friend. Generally not loud cats, quiet chirps, trills or purrs, and gentle head bumps, are the favored methods of communication for a Manx. It is a joy to be owned by a Manx, I was owned by one for 16 years. A well-loved, well-cared for Manx will become an important part of any family. Once they have entered your heart, you will find it hard to ever be without a Manx. These are truly cats for everyone.
Manx can be completely tailless or even have a full length tail. These siblings prove that –Tator Tot has a full tail and his sister Sweet Pea has a stumpy tail. Read more about the Manx here.
Sweet Pea is fostered in Reno, NV.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
