- Goal Met
Sydney was originally trapped at a Sacramento trailer park community living near its filthy garbage area. She was emaciated, dehydrated, and severely underweight. Her eyes were goopy and her tiny body showed spots of ringworm. The lady who trapped her kept her for about 3 weeks PPCR then took her in.
Sydney is SUPER sweet and loving. Sydney is one of those kittens who thrives on attention and love, constantly wanting to be with her person! Even with a broken leg, she has only ever been the sweetest kitten, never even so much as hissed when her foster Mom tried to evaluate her hip and knee.
On January 24, she got startled, did not think and just leaped onto a hard tile floor. She did not land well. Initially, we thought she had just bruised her hip area and leg, so we put her on crate rest and gave her some pain meds. However, she was still not bearing any weight on her leg, so we rushed her to local veterinarian hospital to be evaluated.
The doctor indicated that the combination of leaping and hitting hard on the tile at the wrong angle, broke her leg. Sydney needs emergency surgery to place pins in her leg to ensure it heals correctly! She is staying overnight and will have the surgery tomorrow 1/26/24. The pre and post-surgery is going to be ~ $3,500.
Please help Sydney! She had a rough start and had made so much progress. This was just plain bad luck for this little girl. YOU can help us get her back on her feet so she can have the forever-loving home she deserves. YOU can make a difference for Sydney right now.
