About Ravi
Pelvis Fractures Plus!
Watch me get around right now!
Ravi is an adorable little Siamese boy! He is engaging and loves life as his video shows! Nothing has slowed him down! Despite everything…he is as sweet as can be! We know eventually he will be someone’s ray of sunshine!
Ravi was at an overcrowded shelter, like most of them these days. The x-rays showed a dual pelvic as well as a growth plate fracture. They thought it was possible he had been hit by a car. The shelter was planning on amputating one of his back legs.
Purebreds Plus decided we could help this boy get the extra attention he needed and took him on 9/14/23. We brought him to our vet who wanted to wait and see how the actual pelvic fractures healed before making any call about the leg. This poor guy has been caged for the majority of his 10 weeks with us!
The good news? His pelvic bones are healing! And Ravi is an excellent candidate for FHO surgery. An FHO, or femoral head ostectomy, is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a diseased or damaged hip by removing the head and neck of the femur (the long leg bone or thighbone). The first six weeks after surgery a false joint is formed so this little guy will be good as new!
Ravi will have new X-rays and then his surgery will be scheduled next week! This cute as a button boy will then be ready for one very lucky family!
We need you to make this possible for Ravi! The entire procedure including x-rays, surgery and after surgery care will be about $2200. Can you help give this boy the life he deserves? Please help now! Ravi and PPCR are forever grateful for your continuous support and help! You can make a difference to Ravi today!
