About Buttercup & Gwendolyn
Neverending…Upper Respiratory Illness!
Buttercup and Gwendolyn are both stunningly beautiful kitties who adore giving and getting random hugs, being with you, having sweet conversations and of course they do like to play. But, to say it’s been a long road to being healthy is the understatement of the year! We still have more to do and with your help we can do it!
Buttercup came in with a horrible upper respiratory illness at 4 weeks old. We honestly thought he was not going to make it. Today he still is sick and continues struggling to get her health back!
Gwendolyn was healthy on intake and doesn’t really look that sick. But she developed an upper respiratory illness at 6 months and continues to sound terrible.
These two sweeter-than-pie kitties have endured a series of never-ending upper respiratory illnesses. What have we tried? They both have had over a year’s worth of various antibiotics, antivirals, multiple viral panels, and numerous blood tests. We have scoped them, performed specific bacterial panels (negative), and tested them for herpes (negative). We have tried all the simplier, cost-effective options with no change.
We are not giving up! We know an answer is out there for them both and are determined to find it. To do this we need your support! Can you help support us in taking the next step?
Their medical team includes a new internal specialist. They would like to take it to the next level and run a CT scan. The scan will help the medical team look much deeper into their nasal passages. This will aid in identifying the issues so that once and for all we can get them healthy!
These two resilient lovebugs are what we are here for, and this is where you make a difference! We keep communicating the various medical cases and needs we are fighting for, and Gwendolyn and Buttercup are two that need your extra help now. Will you donate to help us… help them?
The scan is expensive, $1500 each for a total of $3000, but it allows us to see much more detail in their nasal passages to determine the issue. This will give them their health back and they will be able to find their forever loving homes!
We couldn’t do what we do without you and truly appreciate your support! You have the power to make a difference! We are forever grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
