Well, I am known as a lover of Flame Point Himalayans and I will always try to take them into foster at any age and in any condition. This beautiful boy may be the biggest I have ever fostered and certainly he is among the most beautiful. Wow ! A lot of his size is due to his luxurious coat but under that plush fur is a 13 pound kitty. He is big, solid and healthy. No heart murmur for this boy.
His previous mother’s sudden illness brought him to the shelter. This shelter knew I loved the Flames and, of course, I said yes when he was offered to me. Snowdon’s photo’s show how good natured he is, even as, you can see, with the poking and prodding involved in going to the vet. He absolutely loves attention from humans and can happily be carried around and fussed with. His confidence is so strong he will probably walk up to greet a stranger at your door.
It is hard to take a bad photo of this photographer’s dream . He is so Magnificent he really takes your breath away.
Snowdon has lived with other cats and three medium sized dogs. I haven’t seen him with dogs but if they were respectful I expect he would probably be fine. (He will, of course, be the boss.) Despite all his lazy good nature with humans he is usually the alpha cat with other kitties and will sometimes show them his dominance. Beta cats often accept that role though some do prefer not to so we need to be careful with his companions. Snowdon has some movie star macho in him and is not a good companion for another alpha cat of either gender.
This special Flame would make a good family cat and do well, I think, with respectful kids over about three feet high. He is actually quite an easy cat to have around. He might do best as an only cat in the home with some friendly dogs to admire him. Snowdon needs a family with entertaining adults, and possibly kids, who are home quite a bit of the time to give him company.
Snowdon eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Snowdon is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
