About Smokey
One touch of my cloud soft grey fur, one look into my mesmerizing green eyes, or one feel of my fuzzy furry paw paws and you’ll be ready to take me home with you.
I’m a quiet dignified gentleman with the daintiest of meows who loves nothing more then to curl up on the couch or bed next to my family as they are watching TV or a movie. Or as they are reading, knitting or whatever. I love being brushed and having my belly rubbed, basically I’m down for being pampered. Having a perch to look out the window at the birds and squirrels would be wonderful. I also enjoy a good game of chase the ribbon on a pole, showing the catnip goldfish who’s boss and batting my ball around the room. I’m not one for being picked up and held for any long period of time. I can also be a little shy until I get to know you but I’m worth the time it’ll take for me to warm up to you because it means I can trust you with my heart. Not sure how I’d handle a dog since I’m pretty sure I’ve never met one of those creatures before but I have been around other cats in my first home and in my foster home and have always treated them with respect. My rule of thumb is to back off until we’re used to one another. I also lived with a child so would do well with an older, respectable child who has been around cats before.
As for how I came to be here I’m not entirely sure. All I know is I thought I was with my forever family and in my forever home. I’d been with my family since I was a kitten and that I would be with them forever. Then one day moving boxes showed up and I found myself at the Humane Society. Why my family had to move and not take me I don’t know. Thankfully a nice rescue group arranged for me to leave the Humane Society and move into a foster home until you come along.
I have perfect litterbox manners. Always use a scratching post and to allow my nails to be trimmed. I’m fully vaccinated and microchipped. I eat both wet and dry food.
