Born April 2016, M, Grey Tabby and White DSH

Simon Caesar is a very loving, affectionate, gentle boy! He LOVES other kitties and wants to make friends with everyone. He loves to be cuddled, he follows you around the house, flops on the floor and shows his belly and just wants to be part of the family. His favorite resting place is the cubbyhole in the cat tree, his plush cat cube or an open spot on the bookcase. Clearly, he was someone’s pet kitty.

This winter, he was abandoned in the country and was found living off the land near our veterinarian’s home. He must have been on his own for a couple of months. After he was trapped, he was very scared, traumatized. Being abandoned was a traumatic experience for him. As a consequence is very shy with strangers or new visitors who come to his foster parent’s home. Once he gets to know his “people”, however, he becomes a purr-bucket and lovebug. He has never bitten or scratched anyone even though he was afraid at first. He sits on a lap relaxed while his nails are trimmed. He loves to play with his stuffed animals and watch the birds from the window.

He uses his litter box perfectly and prefers his horizontal scratcher on the floor. Complete blood work, urinalysis, fecal are all normal. He is negative for FeLV, FIV and Heartworm antibody. He has had all his vaccines

We are looking for an INDOOR ONLY forever home with someone who can be patient and loving with him during his transition to his new people. He will be a wonderful devoted kitty. He would do OK with older children and other cats, presuming the other cat likes other cats. We prefer to adopt to someone who will buy pet insurance for him since too many cats are put to sleep because of the high costs of veterinary medical care.
