Born ~2016, M, Flame Point, Ragdoll/Himalayan Mix
There are times when, despite our very best efforts, proper introductions and ample time, little kitties just don’t get along – period. This is the only reason why the owner of this handsome, fluffy cat has contacted our organization to help rehome him and his best buddy, who is equally fluffy and gorgeous.
Simba’s owners adopted him from a shelter as a companion for their handsome male Ragdoll by the name of CoCo. They got Simba as a play buddy and were hoping that once these two males bonded (which they did almost instantly), it would stop CoCo from attacking their Tortie female. Sadly, their plan backfired because now both males are bullying their female.
Since they have had their female first, they know that the right thing to do is to find a new home for these two handsome boys. It is with a very heavy heart that they contacted our organization and asked if we can find these two males a home where they can be the reigning kings of their new castle. Always happy to help out a kitty or two, and knowing that someone will be thrilled to adopt this fabulous duo, we agreed to take on this fun and rewarding task.
Simba was initially brought to the shelter as a stray (who would ever let such a gorgeous cat outside?) and tends to be shy with strangers. He follows his current owner around the house, and really likes to play with his brother CoCo. He doesn’t care to be brushed, so will benefit from getting a regular lion cut. His bond with CoCo is so strong that he needs to be adopted with him, no exceptions please.
According to his current owner, Simba won’t do well around dogs and young children (he will be in hiding). Older, cat savvy children may be okay, but expect him to be hiding in his kitty cave for some time until he feels comfortable in his new environment.
Simba is healthy, is up-to-date on his vaccinations and uses his litterbox without any issues.
