Oh Hi…my name is Shadow. I am a handsome grey and white short haired boy. I have big golden eyes that watch you all the time; old eyes that have seen a little too much of the bad side of life. I am your more independent cat. Okay, I’m not really independent. I’m just really shy but don’t tell anyone. I’m not a cat that will climb into your lap. On the other hand I like being in the same room with you. I like hanging out with my foster dad. If you pick me up and hold me though I will hang out on you as my pictures show! I’m a real contradictory kind of cat.
When new people visit, I may or may not hide, just depends. Watching brave kitties, like my friend Little Loaf, strut their stuff; it’s hard to believe they find it so easy. For me, it’s not that easy. Sitting out in the open with new people makes me nervous. I am sure something happened to freak me out when I was much younger but I really can’t remember what it was. I just know it still affects me.
So what do I need? I really would like to go home with Little Loaf as we are good buddies. I really would prefer a quieter home and someone who will take their time with me, love me and earn my trust. My foster Dad did and I really like hanging out with him now. Especially when he is working on the computer! Just look at the pictures! I have come a long, long, way! Could you be the one for me from now on?
We know this little guy has been frightened by some humans at some point, but we are not sure what happened or why. We have gained his trust though and he now needs a forever home that will love him and always be there for him and continue building that trust. Can you give your heart to this special little boy?
Shadow and Little Loaf are very bonded and do have to go home together. See Little Loaf here. They get along with other kitties and even very gentle dogs. They each have their own very distinct personality. Shadow and Little Loaf will be ready to go home any time after January 17th. They will be vaccinated, spayed/neutered, de-wormed and vet checked. They both eat wet and dry food and are litter-box perfect.
