Born 6/17/2022, M, Straight eared Scottish fold
Adoption Fee: $300
Say hello to this stunning purebred kitten; his name is Scottie. He is a straight-eared Scottish Fold.
Here is what the textbooks say about the Scottish Fold:
The Scottish Fold cat is gentle, intelligent, and docile. Extremely flexible and well-adjusted, the Scottish Fold cat is also very affectionate. And though it can get extremely attached to you, it will not be a pest or a nuisance. Like many other cats, it enjoys playing but is especially responsive to training.
Yep, that’s him, exactly. He is very easygoing and gets along with others well. Most kittens get crazy, chasing, playing, and running around like a monkey most of the time, but not Scottie. He is content to watch you, and he will play with the others as well, but not like a crazy kitten. He is still very young and so smart; I have no doubt that he could be taught tricks like fetch and sit as well as others. He is food motivated and is not a picky eater; he loves his treats.
Scottie does have juvenile Stomatitis, which is gingivitis in the mouth. Usually brought on when kittens start getting their permanent teeth. This condition will require regular checkups with a vet during his lifetime. Stomatitis will sometimes, but not always, fix itself at about two years old. Our vet is taking the conservative approach and feels it is important to take a wait-and-see approach and evaluate him throughout his lifetime. It may not even be an issue with Scottie, but the adopter should know he needs regular checkups. At this point, he is doing fine, and there is no need to take further action at this time. Scottie has a lot of love to offer and is hoping that the right family will come along and love him as much as he loves them.
Scottie is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his foster family in West Sacramento.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
