About Samson

Adopted by Megan

Samson is a handsome, large and loving cat. We are not sure what happened to his tail, but it was injured severely and had to be amputated. Now it is about 3″ long, but otherwise he is healthy and recovering quickly.

This guy loves attention, pets, neck rubs and being brushed. He will amuse himself with balls and catnip mice. He enjoys chasing feathers on a string, if you are playing with him.

He really is a calm, laid back cat. You can often find him curled up on the top round shelf of the scratching post, which he barely fits on! He loves to be close and will come on your lap. The foster’s female cat as well as her dog have visited him for a short while with no problem arising. For a while, another male foster cat shared the room and he really liked having another cat as a friend. He was much happier and playful. Therefore his foster feels he would love to be in a home with another cat and not be an only pet.

Samson is a very happy fellow, even when visiting the vet clinic. The employees there were amazed at how friendly he was. He so enjoyed all the attention that he received from everyone, that he drooled! He is a very social guy, that wants to be a big part of your life.

He will be a wonderful pet in a home where there will be no risk of another injury (like his tail degloving) again. This sweet guy has suffered enough, but is still so thankful to be cared for by animal loving people. Will you be the lucky one, to add him to your family? He is a very special cat and will be a fantastic addition to your home.

Samson is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his foster family in Carmichael.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
