Sammy (and Willy) is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her current owner in Pleasanton. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.
Sammy the Sphynx and Willy the Lykoi are in need of a new forever home due to their owner’s serious medical condition and inability to continue to care for them. They are currently being fostered in the home of an employee of their Veterinary Clinic.
Sammy is a stunning Orange and White Sphynx, and a very outgoing, playful girl that acclimated to her new environment in just a few days . She is a very interactive, smart and a fun cat! She is a people cat and wants to know what is happening! Sammy gets along well with other cats, dogs and older (8 yrs +) respectful, cat experienced children.
Willy is a super affectionate very ‘wolfie’ looking Lykoi. The breed also referred to as the “Werewolf Cat”. He is a very striking handsome cat that will love to cuddle next to or on you. He may also be shy at times. At first he sought out secluded hide-a-ways in his new environment. He could usually be found under the middle of a bed or in a closet. He prefers to sleep in a quiet place. Willy is slowly warming up and and is now interacting with members of the family. This is typical to the Lykoi breed and we expect this will be similar behavior when he is introduced to his new forever home. Once he feels safe and trusts you — you will have a buddy and love bug for life!
She is great with other cats and a dog as well as older (8 yrs +) respectful, cat experienced children.
They both were 4 paw de-clawed by their former owner. They have no adverse affects from this procedure, however, they must absolutely be indoor only cats. They have perfect litter box habits and currently are using a Crystal type fine litter.
They are both considered in good health and have available health records. They had previously been eating a variety of different Vet Rx foods – none of which were medically prescribed for them. Sammy is at a good weight. Will, on the other hand, is a big guy weighing in at about 15 pounds and will need some attention with a diet that will help him lose some weight. Their foster Mom is working on introducing them to a better diet.
Sammy and Willy get along well together so we have presented them as a bonded pair. They also exhibit independence of one another so their caregiver will consider adopting them individually. They need to be adopted before May 4th, 2025, so please respond ASAP if these two unique and wonderful kitties are tugging at your heartstrings.
Sammy is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
She currently lives with her owner in Pleasanton.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
