About Rusty
Available July 1, 2019
Hi, my name is Rusty and I am a 2 month old Ginger Maine Coon kitty, kinda like my Mom. My Mom is a beautiful Ginger Maine Coon kitty named Tanya who came from Russia! She used to belong to a cat breeder but got rescued from there right before me and my brothers and sisters were born. I was only a few days old when all of us went to live with our foster Mom and Dad in Rancho Murieta. Well now, after a couple of months living the good life here, I’m grown up enough and have been “snipped” (ouch!), chipped (ouch again!) and am ready to find some lucky people to give me a forever home!
So, a little more about me. Since I am a healthy, happy Maine Coon boy, I am probably going to get pretty big, but I won’t be fully grown until I am about 3 years old. I use my litter box all the time and never make mistakes. Since I’m a growing boy I like to have dry kitty food available whenever I want a little snack and a nice plateful of wet kitty food in the evening. Oh yeah, and fresh water all the time.
After spending a few weeks with my Mom and siblings in our special kitty bedroom, we all started to come out into the big house and guess what! There were other big kitties that lived here as well as a big Golden Retriever doggie. It didn’t take me long to make friends with all of them. I also found a bunch of kitty toys everywhere around the house as well as 2 kitty trees. Love playing with all that stuff and really like climbing and napping in the kitty trees. But you know what one of my favorite things to do is? I will hide around a corner or under a chair and as my foster Dad walks through I will come flying out, grab his ankle and try to tackle him! What fun! I think he likes it too, cause when I do it he makes weird noises and call my name.
Oh, one other thing I found here is a flap on a door that I can go through, and in that room are litter boxes that the big kitties use. I use them too now, but I really love just going back and forth through that flap and whacking anyone who tries to come through! Great fun with my brothers and sister! And in another room I found a different flap, and that one goes to an outdoor kitty patio. That place is pretty cool!
Ok, let me check my list: healthy, happy Maine Coon kitty; like food and fresh water; love to play; get along with other kitties and a big dog…. oh yeah almost forgot – I like to jump up onto my foster Dad’s lap, especially when he has his computer thing. I even helped him type this up, but he erased what I typed. When he doesn’t have his computer I will cuddle on his lap and take a quick nap. That’s about it. So, if you are interested in providing love, safety and a happy healthy home to a cool Maine Coon kitty, check me out!
I am fostered in Rancho Murieta, CA (Sacramento Area).

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
