About Rosie

Born 6/28/2019, F, Pedigreed Seal Bi-Color Ragdoll

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program. We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat. It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Rosie is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home but residing with her current owner in Sacramento. An adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Rosie is a Purebred Pedigreed almost 3-year-old beauty, with outstanding conformation to the Ragdoll breed standard. Ragdoll cats tend to be more interested in humans than some breeds of cats. They are known to run to greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, flop on you, sleep with you, and generally choose to be where you are. Many Ragdolls come when called and play fetch. They are gentle and tend to be floor cats, not jumpers. Ragdolls should be combed with a steel comb on a regular basis.

So why is such a treasure needing to be re-homed at this time in her young life? Rosie has experienced chronic ear infections for the past 14 months. Although likely near the point of resolution, her Senior owner is no longer able to sustain the cost of continuous treatment. More information is available to serious adoption inquiries.

Rosie’s owner says this about her: “She is not very well socialized due to COVID. Because of that, I think it may take a while for her to warm up to someone. She is very smart and likes to be talked to, be close to me and follows me around from room to room. She is very curious and inspects everything that comes through the door. Every night she kneads my lap and then sleeps beside me on the couch. She is not a lap kitty but loves to snuggle beside me. She loves to eat and comes to get me when it’s time to eat and will paw at my arm, but she is a picky eater and only eats wet food.

She is very playful but likes me to participate. She plays fetch with straws and wadded up post-it notes. She loves ping pong balls, cat toy springs, and toilet paper rolls. She loves boxes, which she will also sleep in, and paper bags. She loves to be combed from head to toe which I do most days. She does not like her nails trimmed. Her meows are little squeaks. Sometimes she meows with her mouth, but nothing comes out.

She has only been around me and a couple of friends both male and female. I think she would prefer a quiet home. I think she would be happiest being an only cat with the owner at home a lot, working from home or retired. She likes attention and being close to her person. I don’t think she would do well in a noisy house with many people. Except for her littermate brother, who she is not bonded with, she has not been around dogs, other cats, or children.”
