About Roland

Adopted by Suzan & Jason

Born ~9/2016, M, White Mitted Seal Point Ragdoll

This little boy’s recent life has been hard. He was lost and hungry when a kind woman helped him and brought him to us. Roland was scraped up a bit and skinny and not yet neutered. He was friendly to humans and not friendly to other cats. I think being out alone in the world for a week or two he had been fighting other cats for food. Since he was old enough I expect he had also been fighting older males for girl kitties. ( He has, by the way, been combo tested for FIV and FeLV and is negative for each.)

We have fed him and cuddled him, and brushed his hair and removed twigs and burrs, and gotten him neutered. His wounds have healed. His tummy is full. He is a cuddly guy who loves attention. He does not love being held yet but he is a nice, good natured kitty. He is still a bit unsettled from his unpleasant and unexpected adventures.

Roland has the medium length soft coat of a Ragdoll. His seal point dark brown color shows in his face “ mask”, his ears, his legs and tail. His feet are white which is called “white mitted”. He is young and his colors will darken as he continues to mature. His eyes will always be the beautiful blue they are now. He is a handsome kitty and will be growing into a BIG beauty. Ragdolls are a large breed and continue growing into their third year so he has a ways to go.

Roland, named for a hero, is a wonderful little boy and will be a fabulous companion to some lucky person. He needs a home where he can be an only cat. Perhaps after some months he would be happy to have a kitty companion but not now. I would like to see him in a stable solid home, ideally with no dogs or young children. Right now I would like things to be really easy for him so he can feel safe and happy. He is young and resilient and full of curiosity. He will be back to the non stop play of a happy kitten soon.

He ( happily) eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

His foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Contact Harriet at (831) 336-2983 or email toharrietjane@comcast.net if you have questions, or send an Adoption Application. If you are unable to reach Harriet by phone or email, email us at Info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
