About Rio

 Adopted by Marina Sullivan

Meet Rio!

This orange fluff ball is the absolute sweetest! Rio is so well-behaved and chill. He is the perfect kitty who is content to sit on your lap and lounge the hours away. He also loves to be held and craves constant snuggles from his person. All he wants in life is to be loved on by his hooman

But the cutest thing about Rio is his feet! He has a very pronounced dewclaw on each of his front feet, making him look like he is wearing little white mittens! Initially, we thought he was a polydactyl (having an extra toe), but when he was taken in for his first exam, the doctor said it was just a dewclaw that is much lower than normal. Either way, it makes him stinkin’ cute!!

Rio’s foster parents think he must have been a circus bear in a former life because when playing, he often sits all the way up on his back feet to grab and swat at his toys.

This go-with-the-flow kinda guy would fit nicely into a home with well-behaved children and/or other cats and dogs with the proper introduction. There really isn’t a whole lot that ruffles his feathers. He is a sweet kitty who deserves the perfect forever home with someone who has time to give him the attention he craves and deserves! Will that be you??

Rio is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his foster family in West Sacramento.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Rio, please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Brennda at brennda_corrie@yahoo.com. If you are unable to reach Brennda please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
