About Reishi (and Oliver)

Adopted by Rebecca

Reishi and Oliver MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Oliver here.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat through our Owner Placement Program.  We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat.  It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Reishi (and Oliver) is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in Campbell. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Due to a change in employment it is with great sadness that the owner needs to place his two beloved purebred cats: Reishi, and Oliver (Oli) into a new home. Reishi, is a beautiful Blue Point Siamese, and Oli is a Lilac Point Siamese.

Here is what their owner says about them: ” I have been working remotely from home which has been a great situation for Oli and Reishi. They have been my buddies 24/7 and are always interested in being where I am and interacting on a regular basis throughout the day. The my project team transferred to another company last winter, which is now requiring long work hours plus a 45 minute one-way daily commute. It’s been several months now and the adjustment I had hope for isn’t happening. It just isn’t fair for these amazing cats to be longing for the attention and companionship they know and love so much”.

They love playing with toys like a string and bunch of feathers on a wand, and a laser pointer which they chase. Oli is the clown. One day Oli jumped into a box at the top of the stairs and rode it down to the bottom, before leaping out he looked a bit freaked, and then sat down to give himself a lick as if to say: “I meant to do that! “

Oli and Reishi both use a tall vertical scratching post. Reishi also uses a horizontal one. If scratching posts and mats are provided, you should have no problem with furniture. They have been taught to not jump on dining tables or kitchen counters. They may test you though, so be ready to redirect them to something fun and acceptable to you.

Both are extremely affectionate. While Oli chooses his moments, Reishi would prefer to cuddle all the time. He loves to be carried or lie in a lap whenever he can. Unlike most Siamese, they do not meow all the time, only when they want something like food, or just to talk to you in an average voice. They are indoor only.

They are very healthy cats who have only needed the normal vaccines. All of their beds, scratching posts, food for several weeks, toys, litter box, litter, and their latest medical records will come with them.

They have not been exposed to young children. They have been happy to be in mixed company being comfortable around both men and women. They have been raised with several different small dogs. They would probably be okay with a cat friendly non aggressive dog. The most important thing is that they need affection and attention — someone who loves affectionate cats and is willing to give lots of love back.

Reishi is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in Campbell.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Reishi (and Oliver) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
