Reggie is a happy, intelligent, curious, highly active and athletic Abyssinian boy. He wants a home where he can climb to high places, explore every nook and cranny and supervise whatever you are doing. He loves his toys and especially interactive wand toys.
Reggie will come to you for petting and then the purring begins. He will also talk to you in his high squeaky voice.
Please note that Reggie must be placed with his sister, Kira.
Reggie was surrendered with Kira to Purebreds Plus at 6 months of age because of their breeder’s health issues. When Reggie came into his foster home, he couldn’t be picked up. With slow, positive reinforcements he has learned that being picked up is not so bad. He will need an owner who is committed to continue working with him on this.
Reggie will come to you altered, FELV/FIV negative, current on vaccinations and microchipped. Reggie tested positive for the Herpes Virus and the virus may flareup when he comes into his new home. He could outgrow the flareups over time or it may reoccur from time to time. L-Lysine in his food may help. In the past, Reggie had a corneal ulcer. PPCR had the eye stained and confirmed it is a healed ulcer. It doesn’t seem to bother him but you will see a slight clouding in the center of his eye.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
