About Reeces Pieces

Adopted by Chris

Born July 2016, Female, Calico Tabby White -Mitted DMH

Watch me frolic!

Due to unforeseen circumstances this adorable little girl and her brother Lobo are back and available for adoption! The decision was extremely difficult for the adopters and it was made with many tears, but they wanted to do the right thing for these precious little gems.

For all you candy lovers out there we present the sweetest little piece of candy you will ever see. Reese is just a beautiful little girl and her markings and colors are fantastic. She comes in the colors of fall, like the candy, orange, yellow and brown. Her neck, chest, feet, and tummy, are white. Her coat is medium length and soft and plush. With that coat she has to have some Ragamuffin somewhere in her history. Reese is a lot like the candy. She has a hard outer shell until you earn her trust and then, oh my goodness, she has a sweet melty little center. She purrs pretty loudly, and eventually cuddles, or she will knead and suckle on her fleece blanket. She loves to have her little ears rubbed gently.

This little girl was found, with her brother Lobo, dumped on the street and scared to death. Reese seems to have had a rougher time of it and the shelter experience for a week sure didn’t help her at all. We say this because she is still shy but is definitely coming out of her sweet little candy shell! So what’s the quickest way to her heart? Sit down with her on the floor and start to play with da mouse…she is running all over you like a little whirlwind with no inhibitions within a matter of minutes. You easily earn her trust that way and before you know it she is sitting on your lap looking up at your with her very soulful eyes. She is on her way to becoming a snuggle bunny…it will just take a little time and patience. She too likes to play with the other foster kittens in the house through the gate on her room. Like Lobo, if one of those others kittens come in their room, they will cautiously sniff noses then start playing.

Reese and Lobo have some high energy wrestling bouts. And it’s usually Lobo who complains, because Reese can be pretty rough for such cute little girl!

Reese will need a playmate. She cannot be an only kitty, she has way to much energy and his brother is her best friend! We recommend that Reese and Lobo be adopted together and preference will be given to adopters interested in both. Gentle children 8 or older would be best for this pair!

She will come to you vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, spayed and vet checked.

Reeces Pieces is fostered in Reno, NV.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
