For all you candy lovers out there (think Reese’s Pieces) we present the sweetest little piece of candy you will ever see. Reece is just a beautiful girl and her markings and colors are fantastic. She comes in the colors of fall, like the candy, orange, yellow and brown. Her neck, chest, feet, and tummy are white. Her coat is short and soft and plush. Reese is a lot like the candy. She has a hard outer shell until you earn her trust and then, oh my goodness, she has a sweet melty little center. She purrs pretty loudly, and eventually will cuddle when she trusts you. She loves to have her ears and tummy rubbed. Watch her getting her tummy rubbed here!
Reece was returned due to a change in the adopter’s circumstances. Reece’s bonded buddy passed away and she was alone more often and was very miserable. The adopter wanted to do the right thing for Reece since she was so lonely.
She still has her favorite toys like ping pong balls, da mouse and toys with a string. She also chatters with some of her toys! How adorable is that? Watch her chatter here! She has actually started watching TV too! How cool is that! How adorable is that? Watch her chatter here!
Reece is still a bit shy with new people. So what’s the quickest way to her heart? Sit down with her on the floor and start to play with her with da mouse or any string toy…she will play within a matter of minutes. You will easily earn her trust and before you know it she will be rolling on her back so you can scratch her tummy and purr. Just look at her adorable pictures where she is asking to be tummy rubbed!
Reece is used to other cats. Currently she is sharing a room with Kazumi and she is learning from Reece how wonderful humans actually are. They even occasionally curl up together! With the right introduction we expect she will settle right in with other laid back kitties.
She is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, spayed and recently vet checked. She is litter box perfect and loves mealtime! She is on the heavy side, 14 pounds, and should drop a few pounds-that was the only recommendation the vet had.
Reese is fostered in Elk Grove.
