Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat.  We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat.  It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.  Poppy is not in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with her current owner in Walnut Creek, CA. Beautiful affectionate Poppy arrived in Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue as a wee kitten with her litter mates and was subsequently adopted by her foster caregiver.   Now, 8 years later, her owner needs to relocate outside the USA and is unable to bring dear Poppy along.  She has been fine with other cats, is tolerant of cat friendly dogs and does okay being alone during the daytime hours.  She is a lovely, friendly, affectionate, lap cat that enjoys having belly rubs.

Her owner says this about her: “Poppy is an 8-year-old female who comes from a Ragdoll mother and most likely a Siamese father.  Poppy and her 3 sisters were rescued by PPCR when their mother was surrendered by an elderly owner.

Poppy prefers a quieter environment and most likely one without other dogs but maybe another cat that is friendly.  Poppy is ok being alone but definitely prefers having company.

She will sit on the couch next to you and sleep with you as well.  She enjoys endless tummy rubs and face/head petting.  She loves the mouse on the string and chasing the laser light. She eats mostly dry food but will eat wet food as well.

Poppy is a lovely cat who purrs nonstop and will make a great companion for a retired person or someone who works from home some of the time.”

The ideal adopter(s) would be able to offer a quiet environment, and spend time each day petting and playing with Poppy.   Poppy is litter box perfect and is accustomed to a.m. and p.m. feedings.  Because she is a little on the plump side, it is best that she receives portion-controlled meals and not be open fed.  Poppy is an indoor only cat and litter box perfect.
