About Pippin (and Merry)
Born ~1/1/2020, F, Snowshoe Siamese
Adoption Fee: $300 for the Pair
Pippin and Merry MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Merry here.
When the couple broke up, their kitty family was broken up also. He took the two brothers. She took the blue eyed sisters. When she decided to move to New York she gave them to a family she really didn’t know. Three months later her cell phone rang. This family didn’t want them any longer, hadn’t been able to find a new home for them and would she come get them, Now! She was literally afraid that the man would just put them out on the street. He sounded that way. She knew my name and called me.
The man had an old 30 inch high fuzzy cylinder with two cubbies in it, top and bottom. When we arrived Merry and Pippin were each in a cubby with Saran Wrap around the cylinder blocking off the cubby entrances. Oh my. ( Which is code for Oh My God!) We said nothing except thank you very much and left, glad to get these adorable girls into a safe place. Of course they could have gotten out but they were literally too scared to move.
So now you know why their expressions are worried, wary, and shy. I could keep them longer til they really settle in and are happy but the best thing for them is to be in their new loving home sooner rather than later.
Merry is more outgoing right now. She loves attention. She is a Lynx Point Ragdoll or long haired Siamese with wonderful white mittens and boots. Pippin also has the upgrade in feet ( I have a cat “foot fetish”. ) She has white mittens with a selection of brown toes here and there. She also has a paint brush tail which I always love – with the white tip at the end. Pippin is a Snowshoe Siamese with a striking white blaze on her face. She has taken the changes to her home life harder I think than Merry. She is good-natured and likes petting but her ears go out wide and she is easily wary and ready to hide. She did not like her photo session today.Tolerant but not in love with the camera.
These two need a quiet loving home. I would say for now no young children or annoying dogs. Let’s make it easy for them. Merry and Pippin are wonderful companions for a single person or a family. Siamese kitties want to have a deep bond with their humans and the world is full of people who love these beautiful blue eyed kitties. Today you can see the sadness in their expressions but with love that will not be for long. They are more outgoing everyday and soon they will be back to their original happy natures. These kitties will make someone very happy.
Merry and Pippin eat wet and dry food and are litterbox perfect.
Pippin is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Pippin (and Merry) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
