Hi, I’m Pekoe!

I’m a 2 month old Orange & White Maine Coon kitty. My Mom is a beautiful ginger Maine Coon kitty who came all the way from Russia and used to belong to a cat breeder. She was rescued from there only a few days before me and my brothers and sisters were born. I was only a few days old when all of us went to live with our foster Mom and Dad in Rancho Murieta.

We had our own special bedroom with lots of beds, toys, food and kitty boxes where we all stayed until we got big enough to come out into the big house. That was fun! We got to meet the other kitties that lived here as well as the big Golden Retriever doggie. I wasn’t sure about her at first cause she was so big, but soon found out she was nice and liked me, so I guess I like her now too. What else was fun were a lot more toys to play with as well as 2 kitty trees to climb and hang out in.

I think I am my Mom’s favorite because she is always wrestling with me and giving me baths, but I also like hanging out and wrestling with my brothers. My sisters are OK too, I like hanging out with them, especially Harlie. Sometimes, when the big doggie walks by, I will arch my back and stare her down, but that’s just to show her I’m the boss. No big deal.

Because I’m a Maine Coon kitty I will be getting pretty big but I won’t get all the way there until I’m about 3 years old, so I’ve got a lot of growing to do. I’m very healthy and I like to have dry food available all day long whenever I want a snack. In the evening I want my wet food please (my Mom taught me good manners). And fresh water readily available at all times. I also always use my litter box and never make a mistake (Mom really taught me well!).

I have recently been snipped and chipped, so I guess all I need now is to find my forever home. So, if you are interested in providing love, safety and a happy healthy home to a great Maine Coon kitty, I just might be your guy! Check me out!

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
