About Oliver (& Reishi)

Adopted by Michael

Oliver and Reishi MUST be adopted together. There are NO exceptions. See Reishi here

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat though our Owner Placement Program.  We take no responsibility for the health and medical records of this cat.  It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Oliver (Oli) (& Reishi) is NOT in a Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue foster home, but residing with his current owner in San Francisco. Adoption fee applies. Find out more about Owner Placement Cats.

Due to a family emergency it is with great sadness that the owner needs to place her two beloved purebred cats: Reishi, and Oliver (Oli) into a new home. Oli is an exquisite Lilac Point Siamese. Reishi is a Blue Point Siamese.

Here is what their owner says about them: I have never had to re-home any of my pets, and I never have or would declaw my cats. It is a cruel and dangerous thing to do. It is a requirement that their adopter promise never to do this.

They love playing with toys — especially a pole to which is attached a string and bunch of feathers, and a laser pointer which they chase. They don’t seem to react to catnip.  Oli is the clown. One day I casually left an empty box teetering on the top step of a long staircase. Oli jumped into the box and rode it down to the bottom, before leaping out he looked a bit freaked, and then sat down to give himself a lick as if to say: I meant to do that! Since Covid-19, we spend a lot of time cuddling in the evenings while watching tv. They do spend a lot of time sleeping.

They both use a tall vertical scratching post. Reishi also uses a horizontal one. If scratching posts and mats are provided, you should have no problem with furniture. They are not allowed on any tables or counters. They may test you though, so don’t let them!

Both are extremely affectionate. While Oli chooses his moments, Reishi would prefer to cuddle all the time. He loves to be carried or lie in a lap whenever he can. Unlike most Siamese, they do not meow all the time, only when they want something like food, or just to talk to you in an average voice. While they have been allowed outdoors, they spend almost all of their time indoors, and will do well as indoor cats as is recommended.

They are very healthy cats who have only needed the normal yearly vaccines.  All of their beds, scratching posts, food for several weeks, toys, litter box, litter, and their latest medical records will come with them.

They have been happy in mixed company and are comfortable around men, even though they have not lived with men or boys. They have been raised with several different small dogs. They have not been exposed to young children. Neither of them are particularly fond of the dogs, they are never aggressive towards them. There is no reason to believe they would not get along. The most important thing is that they need affection and to be with someone who loves cats and will give them a lot of loving.

Oliver is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet food, and is litterbox perfect.

He currently lives with his owner in San Francisco.

Purebreds Plus Cat rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Oliver (Oli) (& Reishi) please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-347-8076. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
