Meet sweet Nico! He and his littermate brother, Luciano, are a bonded pair and have never been separated since birth. As such, they must be adopted together.
Their owner has had them since they were wee kittens and now, regrettably, finds personal health issues presenting the need for these gorgeous boys to be re-homed.
Here’s what their owner says about Nico:
“Nico is a super sweet, loving kitty who loves to have his belly rubbed! He loves to cuddle and be on your lap or on your chest and shoulder. He loves to play with his big brother Luciano and sleep with him too! He loves the simplest of toys, such as a wadded-up piece of paper that he can chase around. Nico is shy at first with visitors but warms right up when he begins to feel comfortable. He and his brother have always been indoors, but both love to sit in the window and watch and listen to the birdies outside”.
Nico’s latest Vet check was in February 2022; he is in good health, weighing in at 9 lbs. He likes to eat Taste of the Wild Prey Turkey Limited Diet dry food throughout the day and tells you he’s ready for a tablespoon of Whole Hearted Morsels wet food for morning and evening treats along with their regular playtime routine. Afternoons are nap time.
Nico and Luciano are strictly indoor-only cats, living in a quiet household with a calm cat-friendly small dog. They enjoy occasional playtime with respectful children and cuddling with them for sleepovers. We would like to see them transition into a similar environment.
Lovable Nico “wears a heart on his sleeve.” If you look closely at his picture in his owner’s arms, you will find a heart shape on his right front leg. He hopes to be a ‘heart’ cat for you too and begs to ask, “will you be mine?”
Nico is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He currently lives with his owner in El Dorado Hills.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pets and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Nico (and Luciano), please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam, please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children to bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
