About Nala Bean

Adopted by Jessica and Parker

The first thing I noticed about Nala Bean was her very pink nose and blue eyes in her very snowy white face, she was like a little china doll. She looked sad to me and had her eyes downcast. Nala was going through a difficult transition. She had lived all of her six years with her family. They had moved out of their apartment into an RV and their four cats were not happy in the suddenly small space. Ultimately Nala and her brother Simba were kept outside despite “the coyotes and mountain lions” her mom said that wandered the Half Moon Bay RV Park at night. Yikes. Making that situation more scary is the fact that Nala and her brother are both declawed.

Simba went home elsewhere and Nala came to me at the beginning of October. It was such a big change and she was withdrawn and depressed. She ate and used her box, she allowed us to pet her without responding. She sat and stared at the floor. We waited; we knew she her sweet nature would emerge soon. Now she shows us that she likes to be petted and she will lay her head in your hand as you do so. Nala Bean also loves to lie on your lap, she is a real lap kitty and would be great company for watching late night movies together. Her last mom said her very favorite thing was for her “to lie on her chest in bed and watch her mom play with her iPad.” This healthy girl is good natured and uncomplaining, you can pick her up and work with her or move her about easily. Though she is wary and cautious around strangers she is a peaceful, quiet girl, a warm, loving companion to the human she knows.

Nala Bean has an unusual Lynx Point pattern with stripes on her head and tail and striped patches on her body. Of course she has the blue, blue eyes of a Siamese. Her voice is small and squeaky, very cute. Nala is a medium sized kitty who could stand to loose a pound or so. She would prefer being the only cat in the home. I don’t know how she would do with a dog. For a declawed cat she is actually surprisingly confident around other cats. She wants a quiet home which ideally has no children, cats, dogs, or chaos. Nala Bean is a perfect companion for someone probably middle aged or older who wants an easy, sweet friend. She is a gracious darling.

Nala Bean eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Nala Bean is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Nala Bean please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
