About Mr. MacKenzie
Adopted by Henry
Born ~8/1/17, M, Classic Red Tabby DSH
Mr. MacKenzie has lots of names: Mac, Red Boy, Kenzi, ZiZi, Zoomer, Cutie Pie, Handsome. The shelter named him Marcus which seems altogether too serious for this happy little guy. I was at the shelter to pick up an owner surrendered Ragdoll boy (currently known as Glum Ragdoll) and there was adorable Mr. Mackenzie. Perfect timing. “Oh please, can I have him ?” I said. The shelter said yes though they were going to put him up for adoption themselves the next day. I am happier choosing his home.
Five pound Mac is a total delight: happy, healthy, playful, cuddly, into everything. Life is all about fun for him. He has surprisingly soft, silky fur which is wonderful to feel. He lets you hold, touch and cuddle him all over. Like most kittens his age he is all about movement – ready to race off at a moments notice. He likes other cats and needs an animal playmate. He wants to race about and play. When he is tired he will sleep in your arms.
I always love the red boys (though some call them orange). They are the nicest guys. As they age they get so sweet and mellow. I always take them into foster no matter what age they are. Mac is a “Classic Tabby” which means he has the bullseye rather than the stripes on his flank. His ears are growing tufts. He is very beautiful.
Some family will be so lucky to have his entertaining, loving company.
Mac eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interest!
