About Mr. Fredrick Furmeister

Adopted by Ganna

Mr. Frederick Furmeister is a handsome Maine Coon mixed with something equally stunning, possibly a Nebelung.  His long coat is grey with a beautiful silver undercoat and is luxuriously soft.  He has big beautiful expressive golden green eyes and a tiny squeak for a voice.  “Freddy” is a gentle giant, weighing in at 16 pounds, yet the sweetest cat ever!  He loves to be petted and brushed and will allow it for as long as you will do it, making biscuits and purring the entire time.  He adores his humans, and you can easily see that in his communicative face.

Freddy is FIV+ and although FIV is a lifetime diagnosis, he can easily live a long normal life with a few minor adjustments.  Cats with FIV must live indoors and can happily live with other indoor, non-aggressive cats to be protected from bacteria and viruses in the outdoor environment as their immune systems are somewhat compromised.  Regular vaccinations, and treatment for fleas, mites, and worms are also important, so a yearly checkup is crucial to this loving boy.

Freddy is a tidy person’s dream!  He has immaculate table manners and is impeccable with his litter box.  He enjoys a small amount of wet food morning and night but prefers his dry food and of course, his treats.  You will get lots of head bumps from him with the offer of a treat.

This big hunk is such a sweet, affectionate, loving guy and is looking for a special place to call home. Just look at his adoring face, meet him, and hear his gentle purrs, and you’ll soon realize that you will get back ten times the love you give!

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone’s best interests!
